Its that time again!

The Lucky Girl

I love this print so much, it was one of the very first I fell for when I started venturing into making carriers.

Ive managed to collect quite a bit of this lovely retro mama, and have made this carrier for this months Gossamer Dreams stocking!

For the marvellous Kylie of Earthchild. I have been a bit slack in getting this carrier made for her *sorry!*. I will have to write a post dedicated to our trade. She is a true artist and spoiled us rotten!! We *heart* you Kylie!

This carrier I have made for my mad sista in law :). She is quite the earthy worm and loves to snuggle with her little treehugger, Im really excited about her receiving this carrier! Her little guy has such an amazing story, we *heart* you lil Jasper!

Tim

Bamboo Denim 1/2 buckle, with hand driven, hand cut applique and stitches to the front panel. Yet another carrier that I took far too long in making, I hope Ms B loves her Tim. He is rather rocking I think.

Ok, think that is about it - I need to get some special nappies made today for the Gossamer Dreams stocking, and of course I will update once they are done!!

Thankyou for stopping by!

Pilot is a Headrest Beetlebum Baby Carrier - with a 15" body height and a cinchable base to enable little babies to be worn legs out, sooner :).

making special things....

I know, I have been quiet lately on the blogfront. I have still been making things - not as much as usual, but Im still around. I have also been focussing on my little ones, and you know, working through my own stuff.

The process of working through my own stuff has brought with it alot of learning for me. I have found so much through confronting what I feared most. And through that process I found that I could see so much more than before. Its like my eyes were opened - wider. I want to shrug that statement off with a curt 'whatever' but I just cant.

Anyway, Ive neglected you, blog. Sorry! I will blog much more often, I promise!!!

Wanna see what I've made just today?

I want to add more pictures but I cant for some reason...

Oh, I keep meaning to mention too - if you dont already know about the Cloth Nappy Hunt, then you should! Im a sponsor again, I love it so much. My darling friends are the passionate folk that run it (let me say - they are crazy, its a massive massive undertaking, only the truly brave, passionate or crazy would do it!). Its an event for me - Hunt month is busy, fun, intriguing and immensely creative. I just want to build, move, stitch, turn, and smile :). My sewing machine has migrated to my dining table, simply to enable me to create more!!

I am updating the Beetlebums Facebook Fan Page almost daily, and would love to invite y'all over there for a look. Please feel free to join in the banter - its an open house!

The Girl and The Sea

Gossamer Dreams is re-opening this month, we have managed to give the store a wee little facelift - all will be revealed in the days leading up to the 15th!!!

Here is my contribution - a baby sized full buckle baby carrier, with a headrest and cinchable body! I hand pieced the body, appliqued the mermaid and embellished the centre panel and headrest with hand guided machine stitches. Not to mention that the rest of the carrier is built with bamboo denim! DEEEEEELicious!

I hope you love her!

BeetleKissRoar!

I have been honoured with the task of creating a special lil nappy for a collaboration with my friend Lesley of Cherubs Kiss, and the every wondrous and utmost perfectionist, Claire of Tigernaut. I'm serious, I was scared that I couldn't contribute anything on par with those ladies!

The auction has started, and you can find it on Lesleys store, Cherubs Kiss.

And if you have a Beetlebum Baby Carrier - or aim on getting one in the future, I have now got Wearing Instructions on my site. I did this mainly to cut down on the environmental impact (every little bit counts ;)) and the fact that my printer is well.... dumb. Ive got to thank my beautiful friend who modelled in the first pictures - her little guy also! And of course, thats me in the second lot of pictures, looking rounded as usual *eek*. Im starting Zumba this week - when Im fit and hot to trot then I will update those pictures LOL!

Ive also recently started a Facebook Page. I will update there when I am ready for stockings, am also thinking that if folks want to sell their Beetlebums second hand then they may link on the Page too - what do you think?

Now for that gratuitous Phoenix picture *swoon!*
Now for that awesome picture that shows how proud my beautiful daughter is of her bag - that she made!
Now for that picture of a mama and her gal. I love love love her!

Anyway, must sign off and dress my son, who has decided that the garden hose belongs in the house ..... we might have a fireman on our hands!
